MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Respected members of the University Staff Welfare Association (USWA),

Assalam-o-Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh,

With deep respect, sincerity, and a strong sense of responsibility, I address all members of USWA. The Association is not merely a welfare and representative platform, but a symbol of unity, brotherhood, trust, and mutual cooperation among all employees. Our mission goes beyond welfare activities; it is about building an environment where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute positively.

I strongly urge all employees to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, and sincerity. Fulfilling our responsibilities with integrity not only strengthens the institution but also becomes a source of barakah and success in both worldly and spiritual life. It must always be remembered that Rizq-e-Halal is the foundation of peace, prosperity, and true success, and it should remain the guiding principle of our professional conduct and daily work.

Our relationship within USWA is not only administrative or organizational, but also deeply ethical and value-based, rooted in trust, respect, and integrity. We are like one family, and our collective progress depends on unity, sincerity, and a positive spirit of cooperation.

On this occasion, I pray for the progress, stability, and excellence of our esteemed university, asking Allah Almighty to bless it as a center of knowledge, peace, and development. I also pray for the strong and continued friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and for barakah, acceptance, and success in all efforts related to the service of the Two Holy Mosques (Haramain Sharifain).

May Allah Almighty guide us towards Rizq-e-Halal, bless our efforts, strengthen our unity, and keep us steadfast on the path of honesty, service, and excellence.

🕋 USWA Umrah Scheme

The Blessed Journey to Makkah — Made Possible for You

The desire to perform Umrah is a cherished spiritual wish of every Muslim, however many employees, due to financial and professional responsibilities, find it difficult to fulfill this sacred journey. Keeping this need in view, USWA introduced the Umrah Scheme to provide its members with a fair and transparent opportunity to benefit from this blessed pilgrimage.

Under this scheme, members who wish to perform Umrah register themselves and become part of a fully transparent balloting system. The draw is conducted every six months in the presence of members to ensure complete fairness, trust, and transparency in the selection process.

This initiative reflects USWA’s strong commitment to the spiritual well-being of its members, ensuring equal opportunity for all and promoting a sense of hope, unity, and encouragement among employees who aspire to perform this sacred journey.

So far, 200+ members have been selected through this transparent balloting system and have been provided with Umrah packages, reflecting the successful implementation, credibility, and fairness of this initiative.

How the Umra Scheme Works

1

Open Registration

USWA registration is open at all times for all Grade 1–16 employees. Interested members can apply anytime to become part of the Umrah Scheme through a simple and transparent registration process.

2

Transparent Ballot

A public and transparent balloting is conducted under the supervision of the Fund Section in the presence of concerned representatives to ensure fairness, accountability, and equal opportunity for all participating members.

3

Selection & Fund Processing

Names selected through the ballot are forwarded to the Fund Section, which verifies the details and processes the necessary financial support and official documentation under the approved Umrah Scheme procedure.

4

Blessed Departure

After completion of all formalities, selected members are facilitated for their spiritual journey to Makkah and Madinah, representing IIUI with pride, dignity, and devotion.

Democratic Elections

DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS USWA Elections — Every Two Years, Your Vote Matters

The University Staff Welfare Association (USWA) firmly believes in democratic values, transparency, and equal representation of all employees. To ensure that every member has a voice in the leadership and decision-making process, USWA conducts free, fair, and transparent General Body Elections every two years in accordance with its Constitution and established election procedures.

Every employee from Grade 1 to Grade 16 who fulfills the membership requirements is entitled to participate in the electoral process. Members not only have the right to cast their vote but also the opportunity to contest elections and serve the Association in various leadership positions. This democratic framework ensures that the Association remains accountable to its members and continues to work for their welfare and collective interests.

To maintain the integrity and impartiality of the electoral process, elections are conducted under the supervision of an independent Election Commission. The Commission is responsible for announcing the election schedule, scrutinizing nomination papers, ensuring compliance with election rules, overseeing polling arrangements, and declaring the final results in a transparent manner.

USWA encourages all eligible members to actively participate in the electoral process. A strong voter turnout strengthens the Association, promotes accountability, and ensures that employees’ voices are effectively represented. Through democratic elections, members have the opportunity to choose leaders who can best advocate for their rights, welfare, and professional interests.

The next General Body Election is scheduled for 2027–2028. All members are encouraged to stay informed about election announcements, participate responsibly, and contribute to shaping the future leadership and direction of USWA.
